The SCME Benefit Fund is excited that Alan Schneider, former Personnel Director for Suffolk County, is joining the SCME Benefit Fund as Civil Service Consultant. He will be available to our members as a consultant for salary and appeals advice, upgrade advice, out of title questions, and general civil service knowledge including test preparation.

Additionally, Mr. Schneider brings a wealth of experience developed during his 36 years with the Personnel Department of Suffolk County. Under his leadership as Director of the Department, the Personnel Department of Suffolk County was responsible for the oversight of approximately 47,000 employees in 276 jurisdictions throughout the County.
